Q4 - Roadshow trailer

The Swedish company Q4 Roadshows helps its customers arrange full-service road shows using promotional trailers as a mobile platform. With trailer rentals a key ingredient in Q4 Roadshows’ business model, the company had tough requirements for the functionality, flexibility and appearance of their growing fleet of vehicles.

When Q4 Roadshows decided to expand their fleet with a new trailer in 2007, they wanted a supplier with experience and production capacity – and one that could really deliver top-of-the-line trailers. Joakim Engström, a partner in the company, says: “Apart from our requirements for the actual trailer, we also wanted a supplier who could serve as a long-term partner in the production and development of our future promotion trailers.”

Impressed with HMK Bilcon’s vast experience and solid track record, the company ordered a plan-built promotion trailer with two extendable pods and 60 m2 of exhibition space. Q4 Roadshows CEO Sarah Sagrelius says: “HMK’s trailer has been a great addition to our vehicle fleet, and the open communications between us during construction has had a strong and positive impact on the features of the finished product. Based on the good results, we now have a fruitful partnership for future developments and productions.”

Roadshow 2010

WIDEX_Peter_G_Hansen_marketingchef_lillefilWhen hearing aid manufacturers launch a new product, they often do so by inviting audiologists and otologists to a meeting at a conference centre or their offices. Many times, however, not enough customers turn up at the meetings, as they do not have the time to leave their clinics.

When the Danish hearing aid manufacturer Widex launched its new Clear440 product, they decided to take the launch on the road – visiting customers instead of the other way round. The road show involved visiting 15 clinics in Denmark with an HMK Bilcon XL trailer. The trailer was ideal for the purpose, as it enabled Widex to hold presentations and even conduct product training sessions on the second floor. After each presentation, Widex served lunch in tents set up beside the trailer.

Widex marketing manager Peter Georg Hansen says the road show made sure that “many more – as well as the right – customers participated in our product launch. We were able to conduct the launch over a shorter time period, it made us look more innovative in the eyes of our customers, and we got a lot of branding value out to the project, as many people noticed the truck on the road.”

Move Your Brand AG were responsible for planning the trip, reserving parking spaces and permission, and decorating the trailer. A new Widex road show is planned for Sweden in 2011.
